Welcome back to another great week for the Yes Fam! We are always so grateful for the positive comments you send to us weekly about how much you enjoy these short weekly reads. We are curious to find out:
What is your favorite section of the newsletter?
Let’s get back on track!
This week we are sharing with you 3 stories from 3 different continents but from 5 different countries!
🍕 Pizza Picnic
This has to be the coolest picnic we have ever heard of, a pizza picnic! Has anyone else baked pizza’s in the park before?
A small group of around 15 of you got together from the UAE Yes Fam to have a lovely dinner together. You brought all the ingredients to a park and baked your pizzas there.
Pizza Fun Fact: the Margherita pizza was named after Queen Margherita because her favorite pizza was with tomato, mozzarella, and basil!
Want to hear a joke about pizza?
Never mind, it’s too cheezy 😝
“Baked Pizza with a mobile oven with fresh ingredients (meat and non meat peeps had their own fun) in a park next to the beach. Had some different cultural music and dances going. Always a pleasure to be yourself around people who just say YES!”
- Ammar, Syria
🤩 Our first meetup!
This marks the very first meetup for the Yes Fam in Halifax, Canada!
As two Canadians, we are always so happy to see new communities form across different parts of Canada. First meetups can sometimes be intimidating, so there is no better way to break the ice than with a game of SPARK. With the questions sometimes being a bit heavy, the six of you decided to cool things with some board games!
“It was very engaging, unique and felt authentic. We were sharing stuff that we don’t really think about which was quite illuminating.”
- Nikhil Bhati, India
🧳 Euro Trip
This is a different type of meetup that we are sharing. Two community members embarked on a Europe trip, where they traveled to the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK. You got to reunite with community members you had previously met and obviously made a bunch of new friends! The trip was full of adventures through different cities with lots of food, drinks, and laughter.
The photo is from the last leg of the trip, in London, where you attended a Halloween party!
“2 of us (the yes fam dmv admins) went to meet up with yes fam every day for 2 weeks in a new city throughout London, Belgium, and Netherlands. The best part of the trip was meeting other yes fam around the world that we can now call our friends. We had great conversations, exploring the cities, and trying the local dishes.”
- LeAnn, USA
Every week we go through the beautiful stories that the community shares in our Yes Theory Fam Facebook group to highlight someone living the "Yes Theory".
✈️ One-way ticket
Meet Ondra! He’s a community member who is constantly sharing the growth he has experienced over the past few years. In the past, Ondra has shared his struggles with moving away from home. He is now taking it one step further. Previously, he moved countries in Europe, but now he has decided to buy a one-way ticket to Asia.
Are you interested in hearing more about his experience taking on this new adventure?

We want to bring your ideas forward!
Over the past few years, we have been so blessed to have connected with so many of you through our social media channels, in person at meetups, and now through this community newsletter.
We value your stories because they are always so special!
This is why we created a dedicated form for you to share the stories that are important to you and how you think we at Yes Theory would fit into them. Perhaps there's a special organization, like the Apex Protection Project, that you want to bring our attention to, or maybe there's an unusual or unique place you would like us to explore!
Hey, I read the newsletter a little late and was wondering where the meetup in Halifax was announced. I'd like to get in touch with the people to attend at the next meetup.
At the end of the newsletter, there is a link to suggest cool ideas. I wish these were posted publicly. The team might not be able to work on all of the ideas, but other creators might find this interesting!
