Happy Tuesday everyone!
We hope that our Belgian friends werenât too mad at us last week when saying that French Fries were from France. Donât worry, no controversial statements this week!
The only thing you will be feeling is a bit a of chill in the air.
Is it cold in here?
Ice plunges are THE new community trend! Could it have something to do with the launch of the Iceman Red Carpet Premieres?

Have Ice Plunges become a Yes Fam tradition?
On Saturday we celebrated the first premiere of the Iceman Red Carpet Events, and the attendees did not disappoint! We created a group for all our community members attending the premiere to connect before the event. The Copenhagen Yes Fam went all out by doing an ice plunge just a few hours before the event.
We are so proud of you!
âWas incredible to connect with people I just met on such a deep level â¤ď¸ Will be back in Denmark for sure.â

The Iceman Documentary has inspired this community!
So many of you this week have been participating in Ice Plunges including our Irish Yes Fam in Galway. The community also welcomed a licensed Wif Hof instructor who joined them in celebrating the success of this incredible project.
âIn preparation for the Iceman Documentary we organised a #Yesfam Icebath. Was such a great day with Josef at Naduir, a certified Wim Hof instructor :) Can't wait to see the premiere soon in London!â

đ Time to be Active
Around 25 of you from the Costa Rica Yes Fam made this weekend an actively challenging weekend. Weâve been impressed with how a lot of your meetups recently have been related to physical activity, showing us that there are so many things you could do at a Yes Fam Meetup. You obviously couldnât forget to add hiking to the list of things to do since that is a specialty of yours!
We are glad to see that you were still smiling after an intense weekend!
âExtraordinary meet up in Costa Rica in collaboration with @letsconnect.cr and @yesfamcr. Lots of amazing strangers turned into friends this evening thanks to fun activities and incredible games like Spark. So happy to see this community continue to grow!â
- Kevin, Costa Rica
Every week we go through the beautiful stories that the community shares in our Yes Theory Fam Facebook group to highlight someone living the "Yes Theory".
𫢠Just Jump
Weâve seen that many of our younger community members sometimes feel like they canât do extreme jumps.
But 16-year-old Archana from Nepal has proven everyone wrong!
She shared a story about how she participated in the 2nd largest bungee jump in the world of 228m and how she suddenly had a fear of heights even though sheâd never experienced that before. She took a second to pause, took a deep breath, and just jumped!

Last week we introduced you to Pedro and a couple of you sent some questions in for him so here we go!
Q: How did you get your job at Yes Theory?
A: Crazy story! I actually saw the position through a Linkedin Post in August 2021!
I was already following the channel + working with operations for several years and when I saw the position I was deeply touched by it. It initially was for people in the US, but after a little (big) push from my wife, I decided to apply even though I was Brazilian & living in SĂŁo Paulo. I knew tons of people were probably applying so to differentiate myself I decided to test the six degrees of separation idea - which states that all people are six or fewer social connections away from you. And long story short, this was the case! With 3 connections I was able to reach the guys and had my first interview with Matt on August 7th, 2021. Fast forward to the end of December after a billion interviews, they offered me the job. đ
Q: What is working with the yes theory like? How do you wrap your head around crazy ideas that yes theory has to share?
A: Biggest challenge and pleasure of my life! itâs amazing to serve this community and the message we are bringing to the world. Like all jobs, we have ups and downs, but I just feel honored to be able to help expand something that has been changing so many peopleâs lives, and grateful for the challenges that come along with that. They help me grow a lot as a person and professional. Regarding how I wrap my head around the crazy ideas, the truth is I donât. At least not all of them completely at once. I tend to break things down into smaller parts that are easier to manage. Turns out that if you take things step by step with an incredibly talented team you can really go pretty far. đ
Q: What would be the first line of your memoir?
A: The energy you waste doubting yourself is the exact same energy you need to get what you want done.
Q: If you could edit your DNA to include/delete any characteristic, which one would it be and why?
A: Not sure Iâd change anything, to be honest. Iâm just now starting to feel more comfortable accepting my unique qualities - it took 28 years and it has been such a fun journey! I really believe that if I wasnât who I am with both the good and the bad I wouldnât be here right now - so no changing for me x)
Pedro is also an incredible photographer so we highly recommend you check him out on Instagram.
Who would you like to see next?
đ¨Breathe in, breathe out
Would love to hear Dez's experience!
