Hello, hello everybody!
We hope that you’ve been having an amazing week and have emotionally recovered from our two new videos released over the weekend. If you haven’t had a chance to watch them just yet, what are you waiting for?
We have something special for you all the way from Japan to be unlocked!
What's new on Yes Theory?
On Sunday we shared an exclusive look into what it’s like to be a Sumo Wrestler or Rikishi. This is a story we have been trying to tell for years and has to be the most extensive planning for a video we have ever done.
We are honored that we finally had the opportunity.
Our original plan was to respectfully observe the day-to-day routine, in particular the gruelling training sessions, but things escalated quickly when Thomas and Staffan were invited to stomp into the ring to train and wrestle against multiple Rikishi.
After being pushed, pulled, and lifted into the air, Staffan sought a little more discomfort. He asked if the team could spend the night… and you’ll have to watch the video to find out what they said!
What’s new on Seek Discomfort?
Our Australia series has officially wrapped and we miss it already!
A few newsletters ago we hinted that this final episode would be an emotional one. In this adventure the editors somehow convinced Thomas to stay blindfolded, put on noise-cancelling headphones, and be guided to an undisclosed location.
We have never seen Thomas in a more uncomfortable position but it was worth it to see his reaction at the end! It’s definitely a Tolkien memory.
Tommy describes the experience on his most recent Instagram post saying:
“After a painstakingly difficult 24 hours of travel with a blindfolded and noise-cancelled Thomas Brag we surprised him by taking him to the best place on earth: Hobbiton.
It’s been a dream of mine to surprise this young hobbit with a trip to the Shire and it went even better than I could have ever expected.”
Now that we have sent our editors to Ireland and Australia, where should we send them next? Leave a comment on the Seek Discomfort video to help us decide.
Better yet, want to join the adventures yourself? Apply to be an editor for Yes Theory!
We have some special extra content that we want to share with you, our newsletter community: Exclusive footage of a Sumo fight between Thomas and Staffan that we didn’t include in Sunday’s video.
But we aren’t willing to give it up that easily! We will release the footage in the next community newsletter once we receive 500 bets replies on who the winner may have been.
If you would like to watch it, reply to this email with who you think won!
In addition to more great videos, we are excited because next weekend is Earth Day!
We will be sharing information about a community event and maybe even a special community challenge. Keep an eye out on @YesTheoryMeetups and this newsletter for the details!
My guess is Thomas, no question there :-D
Hope 491 other humans reply as well so we will get to see it ourselves ;-)
Oh I'm definitely keeping my eyes peeled on this event! Also shoutout to all the legends in the Creator Now Bootcamp right now!
